Pitcher Jordan Zimmermann and The Detroit Tigers Reach Agreement

The Detroit Tigers have continued their aggressive offseason as their first year general manager Al Avila said they would, the team has landed an agreement with top free agent right handed pitcher Jordan Zimmermann, the agreement is said to be for five years, $110 million pending completion of a physical exam.

Jordan Zimmermann is twenty nine years old, was 13-10 with a 3.66 ERA last season and a career 3.32 ERA.

Zimmermann is a two time all-star, became the Washington Nationals first pitcher in it's history to toss a no hitter and is the Nationals all time leader in wins.

Jordan Zimmermann now joins a Tigers rotation led by Justin Verlander and Anibal Sanchez, which he should help bolster and upgrade a rotation that was quite bad in 2015.
